sunday
Hey just trying this out! been thinking of starting a blog for some time, trying to get down some thoughts etc, rather than update my webpage HTML so often. the webpage will be mostly pictures now id say.
its sunday anyway, work at 4 pm. gotta put some money aside, I lashed out and put a deposit on a raymond wiel "tradition" watch, www.raymond-weil.com if you want a look. slower page though.
I also joined the Floridaame club, what a great group of people, a great site, and lots of good models there.. check it out! www.floridaame.org
Baked a custard tart today, must be nearly cool enough to eat. Jo (my sister) sent in some chook eggs a week ago, need using up. not much to custard tarts, the secret is to make sure the pastry is in one piece so it doesnt rise up in the custard.
got some cast iron for the top idler gear in the JD crank case, (the one that drives the govenor from the crankshaft) so hope to get round to blanking that out this week. its 3" dia. 46 teeth, 16 D.P. six spokes in the blank, about 1/4" wide.. it has a bronze bush in the centre running on a pin. splash oiled.
The JD is looking pretty good now, got a lot done this last little while, the steering is all going, the radiator finished, crank in, and front wheels finished too. take a look at my web page, http://www.geocities.com/marcusfromtassie/fpage.html its been updated.
The new AME mag came this week, its really coming into its own this last few years. a perminate subscription seems to come here now. guess you can remember that I won a subscription a few years back when my Otto and Langden got the AME trophy at the AALS convention.
And Here is a picture too. :-)
