saturday the twenty seventh

well.. ive not posted anything for a while, better put something about my trip to QLD I guess.. I had 6 days away, had lots n lots of fun, mostly at Towoomba,(about 2 hours west of Brisbane) and a couple of trips into the big city.

Some highlights were the black forest cuckoo clock shop at highfields, every possible type of clock imaginable, and also many Reuge musical boxes in stock too, so something I have fallen in love with.. Wondering if its possible to build a nice cylinder box from scratch? The comb would be the tricky bit, but I am looking at wire erosion cutting technology there. www.reugemusic.com
(btw.. here the site of a nice guy who has made one already.. Charlie Hinds

Another thing was seeing two beautiful miniature hit and miss engines at Sunnybank, in Brisbane, made by Arthur Hassam. Ill post pictures soon, one is a Gallowway, the other a Buzacot. both run and look very well! Arthur is also building a 1/4 scale Waterloo boy JD, very very nice.

the bigest feature of the week though, was spending time with Kay, who took some time off work to just be there... it was a great week, Thanks for being so patient, sweetie.

Since I've been home, there has not been much progress really, lots to do, no time to do it.. dont seem to be home very much, or for very long.

more soon..
