wed the 28th

well dad's back in the workshop. he's modified the rollers to make the JD back wheels today, and got some tin folded up to roll them out of. I believe he will make a few more wheels for a ridding wagon for behind.

I spent a few hours in the shed too today, working on my BHI practical projects.

other than that, its been just work and sleep mostly.

long time no see

yes I do apologise, it has been a while, Life is still pretty hectic, but I am making progress with some things. It's a wet rainy, stormy saturday night here, and i seem caught up a bit, so ill do some web page updating I think. I have a new studio now, (actually still under construction, needs new carpet and paint on the walls, but absolutely looking great, with new natural finish MDF shelves and drawers, an laminex benchtop in pale green. I intend to downsize a bit more yet, I.E. get rid of the racing axe collection... and make my room into a propper watch and clock workshop.

Dad is home again well and truly now, infact, back to work on monday, Ill take a few days off to get a couple of jobs in the workshop finnished up.

I have been buying up a bit!! :-O

bought a book called "the workbench Book" by Scott landis published by tauton press. there is a rap for one of the best woodwork books I have ever owned.

WORKBENCH BOOK

Also got a crosslide for my little lorch precision lathe. cost me an arm and two legs, but its on its way here from the usa.

And of course, I put a deposit on a grandfather clock movement. Its an english 30hr longcase movement from about 1820, with a painted dial. I am thinking at this stage Ill do the movement up and make a few dollars, but who knows yet. would be good to have one in my "studio", at least till i can find a workshop regulator!

Ill update my webpage a bit now, so till next time.
